FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the bot cost anything?
No – every module is free to use. With Premium, a server gets higher limits and extras such as custom banner backgrounds and automatic backups. Payment is handled directly through Discord.
Which permissions does the bot need?
View Channels, Send Messages, Embed Links, Attach Files, Read Message History, Connect and Speak, Manage Roles and Manage Channels, and View Audit Log. It only needs Administrator temporarily, when you restore a backup.
Important: the bot's role must be placed above the roles it should assign in your role list.
Why doesn't the bot play YouTube or Spotify?
YouTube's and Spotify's terms of service prohibit playing their audio outside their own apps. That's why NVX Nexus relies on internet radio, direct audio links and your own music library. You can still link YouTube channels for notifications, though.
Who can configure the bot?
In the dashboard, members only see servers where they have the “Manage Server” permission. Only administrators can restore backups. You control who can use which commands in Discord under Server Settings → Integrations.
Are messages stored?
Only if you turn it on: logging posts deleted and edited messages to your log channel, and ticket transcripts are saved as files. Backups never include messages. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I remove the bot and my data?
Just kick the bot from your server – its settings for your server are deleted automatically. We'll delete backups and ticket transcripts on request; just contact us by email.
