1. Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to everyone who uses NVX Nexus on a Discord server, uses its commands or uses the web dashboard. It supplements our Terms of Service. Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines always apply as well.
2. Permitted use
You may use the bot to play music and other audio content on Discord servers that you are legally allowed to play – for example your own recordings, royalty-free music, content with an appropriate license or publicly available internet radio streams.
3. Prohibited use
In particular, the following is not allowed:
- uploading or playing content that infringes copyrights, trademarks or other third-party rights;
- uploading or playing illegal content, such as content that incites hatred, glorifies violence or is harmful to minors;
- content that harasses, threatens or discriminates against others;
- deliberately playing extremely loud or distorted audio (“earrape”) to disrupt others;
- triggering commands en masse or in an automated way (spam), or any other attempt to overload the Service;
- attempting to circumvent security mechanisms, gain unauthorized access to the dashboard or attack the server;
- uploading files containing malware, or files that are not audio files;
- misusing tickets (e.g. opening them en masse, harassing the staff);
- circumventing verification, for example through automated accounts;
- notifications, welcome or panel texts with illegal, misleading or harassing content, as well as mass @everyone mentions;
- using backups to copy other people's servers without their operators' consent.
4. Content and copyright
You are responsible for making sure you are allowed to use the content you upload or play – including toward the other members in the voice channel. A purchased song or a streaming subscription generally does not entitle you to play it for others.
Rights holders can report infringing content to us at any time (see Section 8). We review reports promptly and remove the affected content.
5. Responsibility of server operators
Whoever adds the bot to a server is responsible for using it there in accordance with these rules. Server operators can specify in Discord under Server Settings → Integrations which roles and channels may use the commands.
6. Dashboard access
Dashboard login credentials must be kept confidential. Anyone who receives guest access must not share it with unauthorized persons. Please sign out after using the dashboard on shared or public devices.
7. Consequences of violations
Depending on the severity of a violation, we may remove content, block access, exclude individual users or entire servers from using the Service, and remove the bot from affected servers. We may report illegal content to the competent authorities.
8. Reports and contact
You can report violations, infringing content or questions about this policy to us by email at [Email address missing]. Where possible, please include the affected server, the title or file name and a short description.
9. Changes
We may update this Acceptable Use Policy, for example when new features are added. The version published on this page at any given time applies.
